"I started making pottery a few years ago after a friend told me about classes at a local studio in Brooklyn. I enjoyed having a hobby that got me away from computers, and I found ceramics meditative. I also found it to be a very humbling practice which requires much patience. Clay is a pretty limitless medium- a blessing and a curse- so each series is explorative and different from the last. I like to toggle between wheel throwing and hand building techniques, as they require separate disciplines that produce completely different results."
